2 yard skip
The smallest skip we offer at A1 Skips is a 2 yard option – ideal for DIY projects and single room renovations (i.e. a kitchen refit or bathroom refurbishment).
With this skip, you’re able to comfortably fit 20-30 bin bags inside, the equivalent of 4 wheelie bins. Though many people are surprised that a skip of this size can hold so much waste, skip hire is a sensible (and cost-effective!) method of waste disposal.
4 yard skip
The middle, and most popular, option when it comes to domestic skips is our 4 yard midi skips, suitable for mid-range domestic projects. Naturally, they can hold twice as much waste as their 2 yard counterparts but don’t take up unnecessary space.
They can fit 30-40 bin bags or 8 wheelie bins worth of rubbish inside, ensuring that you’ll have plenty of room to get rid of your domestic waste should you wish to clean up the whole house.
This skip size is so popular as it suits those that want to avoid overfilling a 2 yard skip but know that an 8 yard skip would be a waste of money and space. This perfect ‘happy medium’ is regularly used in our skip hire in Chorley.
8 yard skip
Do you think that you need the largest domestic skip we offer? These are usually best suited for larger home projects, in which you’re going to throw away the most amount of waste. With the ability to dispose of a mammoth 60-80 bin bags or 16 wheelie bins in one single place, it’s easy to see why it’s a popular option with those that want to make sure that they can get rid of their rubbish in one go. So, if you’re looking to complete a full scale clear out, this could be the ideal size for you.
